The first connection brings together Schiavi di Abruzzo and the Abruzzese community in Paraguay. This space grew out of “Radici che Uniscono,” a project promoted by the Associazione degli Abruzzesi in Paraguay with support from CRAM and the Abruzzo Region.

A first editorial bridge
The first connection with “Abruzzesi nel Mondo” brings together Abruzzo Connections and the work of journalist Dom Serafini, founder and editor of VideoAge and author of Il Centro’s column dedicated to Abruzzese communities abroad.
This initial initiative opens a new path for stories to circulate between a recognized editorial voice in Abruzzo and a trilingual digital space connecting communities, places of origin, and contemporary Abruzzo.

THE PROJECT
From Radici che Uniscono to Abruzzo Connections
This space was created from the project “Radici che Uniscono: gemellaggio tra Schiavi di Abruzzo e la comunità abruzzese in Paraguay”, supported within the framework of the CRAM program of Regione Abruzzo, dedicated to strengthening the bonds between the territory and Abruzzese communities around the world.
Abruzzo Connections collects and organizes a first set of cultural, narrative, territorial, and documentary content, making stories, places, traditions, and routes connected to Abruzzese identity accessible.
Schiavi di Abruzzo and Paraguay remain the project’s original focus. Contributions from other communities may be considered over time without changing the scope of the approved activities.
